UPCOMING:

Olivia is currently writing various films including her first feature and a sequel to her acclaimed short, The Journey. The latter is set to shoot September 2026 and will be part 2 of a 3-part Triptych. 


In addition, Olivia is the author of a children's book in early publication development.

Metamorphosis (Released 2025)

Metamorphosis is a short film written, directed and produced by Olivia Hodson. 


Mel has gotten her heart broken for the first time. As she struggles to process this, she begins to lean on her friends and listen to herself in ways she never has before. Metamorphosis explores an intimate look into those micro transformations that we all go through, if we only slow down enough to look.


*Olivia was also nominated for Best Actress for her work as the central character, Mel, in addition to Directing.

THE JOURNEY (Released 2023)

THE JOURNEY is a short film by brother and sister duo, Olivia and Harrison Hodson. Inspired by Mary Oliver's poem of the same name. 

Created, shot and edited within 48 hours.
